Lama Gaun Vision and Mission
VISION
It is the vision of H. E. Chöden Rinpoche and Gyalten Khen Rinpoche to spread the teachings of Buddhism worldwide through the train- ing of monks. Each monk will become a harbinger, the precious holder of Buddhist precepts and spiritual practices enabling them to lead the transformation of suffering into awakening and peace.
MISSION
Lama Gaun Monastery mission is to create an environment that is conducive to the spiritual and physical well-being of the many monks it serves. Through a vigorous training in Buddhist ethics, a study of fundamental tenets and spiritual practices each monk will be prepared to enter a life-long journey of dedication to the welfare of all sentient beings.
Our primary focus is to develop the human capacity to its fulness of creativity, kindness and wisdom, and utilize this energy to create a loving and peaceful world.
